The cheap card is available in the supermarket’s 300 stores and for 7p they will even throw in a red envelope

When it comes to making minimal effort on Valentine's Day, writing a card is always a simple but effective way to show you care.
But for anyone thinking of sending Asda's new 'economy' love tokens - doing nothing would be a much safer bet.
The cut price, recession-beating stationary costs just seven pence - and even features the supermarket’s 'Smart Price' logo on the cover in a heart.

At only 7p, it's not the really the thought that counts

Cheekily, the message inside reads 'My love for you is priceless!'
On the front are the words 'Be My Valentine' and the card even features Asda’s famous green colours.
